I’m a patient with End Stage Organ Failure, how can I register for Organ in your Organization?

To register for an Organ in TRANSTAN registry, patient should be under treatment in a hospital which has a valid license for performing Transplant. All hospitals registered with our organization will have user interface to register their patient in TRANSTAN registry.

What documents are required for registering for organ in TRANSTAN Registry ?

The following are the documents required to get registered in TRANSTAN registry.
1. Payment receipt for Organ registration.
2. Colour copy of Aadhar card.
3. Treating Consultant letter.
4. Patient declaration letter.

I’m a patient of End Stage (Organ) Failure, I have registered for Organ in TRANSTAN Registry from……Hospital. But I would like to change my hospital due to…...problem. Is it possible and if possible, what are the procedures?

Yes, it is possible to transfer the registration from one hospital to the other. If a patient wants to get transfered from A hospital to B hospital, then the following documents have to be mailed from B hospital to TRANSTAN.
1. Color copy of patient Aadhar card.
2. Payment receipt for transfer for organ registration.
3. Doctors’ declaration letter from B hospital.
4. Patient declaration letter.
Patient name will be reflected in the B hospital waiting list, after 5 days from the date of receipt of mail.

I’m a patient with End Stage Organ Failure and I have registered for Organ in TRANSTAN Registry with UID…...How can I know my current rank in waiting list ?

For knowing your current status in Waiting list, you can contact TRANSTAN office number – 04425333676.

How long does it take for a new patient registration to be reflected in TRANSTAN Registry?

It takes 24 hrs for a new patient registration to get reflected in the waiting list.

What is the period for change in active status in TRANSTAN Registry?

The time period taken to change the inactive status to active status in TRANSTAN Registry is 24 hrs.

I’m a patient of End Stage Organ Failure. I have been advised to undergo Transplant. Any suggestions for hospitals?

A list of hospitals licensed to do transplant surgery and registered with TRANSTAN can be obtained from our website.

Are Transplants being done in Tamil Nadu under Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme (CMCHIS)?

Yes, patients can avail Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme (CMCHIS) both in private and government hospitals.

Can I register for organ in more than one hospital in Tamil Nadu?

No, a patient can only register through one hospital. Multiple registrations will be cancelled.
